Super for Schools

The second story in the series, ‘Lollipopman and the Rabbit of Doom’, has been developed into a stand-up comedy show for kids.

Lollipopman creator Phil Sheppard (above) tells the story with songs, jokes, rhymes and silly voices, whilst projecting his cartoon illustrations onscreen, allowing the audience to visualise the characters as the story progresses.  Children in the audience can earn themselves 'I am Super Safe' stickers as road safety questions come up throughout the show.

Phil is a professional writer, illustrator and stand-up comedian (Other Side New Act of the Year Finalist 2007). His 'Lollipopman' show has received glowing reviews from schools, libraries, festivals, newspapers and children throughout the UK (click here to see).

Workshops: Literacy, Art and Road Safety

The show can be followed with workshops, where children can enhance their story-writing, literacy and creative skills, and find out about authors and illustrators, whilst learning vital road safety tips. Lollipopman workshops have been developed to have a cross-curricula relevance linking to many areas of learning (see National Curriculum points below).

Each workshop can be tailored to the needs of your school and includes complimentary copies of the two Lollipopman books.
